It is spread over an area of 812 square kilometers. The sanctuary has various animals, including tigers, leopards, panthers, gaur, sambar, chital, nilgai, blackbuck, sloth bear, wild boar, and various birds.<\/p><p>The sanctuary is located near the Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Telangana borders. It is one of the oldest wildlife sanctuaries of Telangana. On 30 January 1952, the erstwhile Hyderabad Government declared it a sanctuary because of its rich bio-diversity. The land is undulating from steep slopes to gentle slopes from west to east.<\/p><p>The best time to visit the Eturnagaram Wildlife Sanctuary is during the dry season, from November to April.
