About Ranthambore National Park

The area of Sawai, Madhopur district of Rajasthan. It is famous for its National level tag of The Ranthambore national park. It is away from Jaipur city at a distance of 130Km. This reserve is one of the finest and beautiful places and it is mainly famous for Royal Bengal Tigers.

Best Time to Visit the Park

The most comfortable time to visit the Ranthambore reserve is between the months of October and March because of its pleasant, decent and best weather conditions. The temperature also goes upto30°C.

Animals also gathered outside in the daylight sprawling under the sun.

Visitors also come in April and are comfortable with temperatures not more than 25°C to 35℃. But May and June are sweltering months.

 Many of the Ranthambore reserve’s zones remain closed between monsoon seasons, i.e., July to September.

Places to visit in Ranthambore

In the early 1820s, the Ranthambore reserve was used to be a private hunting reserve for both British and Rajputs. But later, hunting was banned by the government of India in 1971, the WPA, i.e., Wildlife Protection Act.

Five Important buffer zones of Ranthambore reserve

There are basically 10 zones in Ranthambore national park but out of them there are only 5 zones that are important. Those zones are as follows:-

  • Zone 1:This zone of the buffer zone is the home of T-39 and T-57. This zone has been prevalent due to the return of Noor (T-39) .
  • Zone 2: This zone is one of the most popular zones, and many animals are recorded here. There are cats that are found in this zone. Those are T19, T22, T72, T57, T28, T60, and T39.
  • Zone 3: There are some beautiful sceneries in this zone like the Jogi Mahal, the Padam Talab, the High Point, the Raj Bagh, and the Mandook. They are mainly those places where sightings could be found. The Padam Talab is one of the vintage places where you could wait to see the tiger’s actions.
  • Zone 4: This zone has lots of places filled with shy tigers and leopards. It is said that the most famous tigress of Ranthambore – The Machli used to live here. The important places in this zone are the Singh Dwar, the Malik Talab, the Lakkad Da, the Adidaant, the Lambi, the Tamakhan, and some birds.
  • Zone 5: The entrance of zone 5 is the same as zone 4 The Singhdwar, the Anantapur, the Jokhang, the Dhaka, the Kachida, the Baghdad, and the Bakola. The big cats i.e tigers and leopards are also spotted in this zone.

Wildlife Sanctuary Ranthambore- What will you see at Ranthambore national reserve?

The Ranthambore world is best known to be rich in assorted flora. There are more than 300 species of vegetation found in the Ranthambore national reserve.
